Background

Chloe is a consultant in commercial and corporate law. She has over 20 years’ experience and comes from a diverse legal background, having first practiced general law in the Cook Islands, before returning to New Zealand to practice in commercial and intellectual property law. Her time as in-house counsel for a well-known purveyor of New Zealand vodka, helped her understand the value of providing legal advice that is pragmatic and commercially sensible. Chloe advises on a range of legal matters: company and commercial, business sale and purchase, structuring, banking, trusts and estate planning, franchising and intellectual property, IT and tech contracts, consumer law, and charities. Chloe’s clients come from a variety of industries – farming to construction, real estate to tourism, fast moving consumer goods to engineering, and everything in between. She enjoys the challenge of understanding her clients and helping them to get where they want to be. Chloe is admitted to the bar in New Zealand and the Cook Islands, holds a Masters of Forensic Science (First Class Honours), and is a member of the Institute of Directors. She is a passionate supporter of New Zealand’s environment and its inhabitants – as a trustee of the New Zealand Sea Lion Trust, a committee member of the Arthur’s Pass Association, and through providing pro bono legal services to Kea Conservation Trust.
