Heimsath Alexander was founded in 2010, and has grown steadily on the back of good people, strong client relationships, and hard work. We do not aspire to grow the firm to a size that compromises our team approach or the ability of our partners to play a key role in a matter. Our partners enjoy doing the work and want to continue to do so. We know that our experience fuels efficiency and timeliness of advice that keeps us a step ahead of the market. Our direct involvement in an issue can result in a solution or strategy that was not immediately apparent. It enables us to build a direct knowledge base of our clients’ interests and strategies, and to ensure that for any individual instruction we can act with our clients’ key business operations and objectives in mind. The partners are supported by talented senior commercial and property associates, solicitors and legal executives.
We have built a solid client base as a result of our reputation, being responsive, and exceeding expectations. We provide advice to local and international listed and private companies, iwi organisations, private equity investors, commercial property investors and developers, charitable and not for profit organisations, and entrepreneurs. We relish the diversity that our client base provides, and endeavor to treat each instruction (large or small) with the same focus and attention. Our culture is easy going, but it should not be mistaken for casual. Our strong work ethic and team approach has been key in driving the growth of the firm and building its market presence. Our firm model is lean and experience heavy. We find that our model works for us and our clients. Our partners are on top of the client’s background, requirements and the transactional detail, and often take a key role in negotiating transactions, drafting documents, and preparing advice.
David and Keith formed Jones Young in 1997 as one of the first specialist boutique commercial law firms to compete with the established “big firms”. Over the past 20 years, they have been at the forefront of corporate activity, advising on many complex and large transactions.
Total partners, consultants and staff are now approaching twenty in number. It’s a great opportunity for the two firms to contribute their specialties, contacts and clients to produce a combined firm which they are keen to develop and grow.
